1 Refractories for HYDROCARBON Industry ------ Passary Minerals Ltd., Rourkela.------ The Hydrocarbon Industry poses the toughest challenge to a refractory-maker. High physical and thermal stability, absolute inertness to the attack of gases as well as inertness to chemical attack are the benchmarks for refractories applied in this industry. PASSARY MINERALS LTD., Rourkela, India, a pioneering company in producing technology-intensive and technologically challenging refractories, offers a basket of refractory products for the Hydrocarbon sector. The slides to follow enumerate the application wise / area wise products that PASMIN suggests for the Hydrocarbon industry.

2 FCC (Fluidized Catalytic Cracking) Units Required Properties: 1. High Abrasion Resistance. 2. High Resistance to Chemicals attack. Suggested Refractories: 1. Highly abrasion resistant and highly inert Castable with a high purity level : PASHEAT 95. 2. Insulation Castable : PASULYTE 09 – thermally stable.

3 Cyclones Required Properties: 1. High Abrasion Resistance. 2. High Resistance to Thermal Spalling. Suggested Refractories: 1. PAS ULCM 70TA : A Mullite-Corundum Ultra Low Cement Castable that is good at abrasion resistance and exceptionally good at Spalling Resistance. 2.
