Module 1 – Circle 12b Cutting the nails Narrated Abu Huraira (ra): I heard the Prophet pbuh saying. "Five practices are characteristics of the Fitra (Man's Nature to Worship God): circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, cutting the moustaches short, clipping the nails, and removing the hair of the armpits." (Bukhari) Anas (ra) reported: A time limit has been prescribed for us for clipping the moustache, cutting the nails, removing hair under the armpits, shaving the pubic hair, that it should not be neglected for more than forty nights. (Muslim)
Module 1 – Circle 12b Circumcision Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) having said that Ibrahim circumcised himself with the help of an adz when he was eighty years old.(Muslim) 1) Protection against local infection to the male private part 2) Protection against infections of the urethra (urine tube) 3) Protection against cancer of the male private part
Removal of Pubic Hair & Underarm Hair Narrated Abu Huraira (ra) : I heard the Prophet pbuh saying. "Five practices are characteristics of the Fitra(Man's Innate Predisposition to Worship God): circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, cutting the moustaches short, clipping the nails, and removal of the hair of the armpits." (Bukhari) Module 1 – Circle 12b
How should this hair be removed? For males, the most common method of removing this hair is by shaving. If you choose to use this method, you should always use a clean razor blade, and ensure that the blade is only used to shave this region, i.e. it is recommended not to use the same razor to shave the face. Removal of this hair should be done at least once in forty days.

Module 1 – Circle 12b Can a person sleep in the state of Janabah (impurity)? Narrated `Aisha: Whenever the Prophet intended to sleep while he was Junub, he used to wash his private parts and perform ablution like that for the prayer. (Bukhari)
Module 1 – Circle 12b Masturbation The majority of scholars consider it haram. Imam Malik bases his judgement on the verse, “Those who guard their sexual organs except with their spouses or those whom their right hands possess, for (with regard to them) they are without blame. But those who crave something beyond that are transgressors” (23:5-7)

(Muslim) Abu Hurairah reported that the Messenger pbuh said: Allah has written for Adam's son his share of adultery which he commits inevitably. The adultery of the eyes is the sight (to gaze at a forbidden thing), the adultery of the tongue is the talk, and the inner self wishes and desires and the private parts testify all this or deny it. (Bukhari, Muslim)
Module 1 – Circle 12b Guarding yourself from evil Allah swt says in the Quran: "Tell the believing men that they should reduce/lower their gaze/vision and guard their private parts" (24:30) Jarir ibn 'Abdullah narrated, "I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be on him) about the unexpected glance. He replied, 'Avert your eyes,' meaning, do not look back deliberately." (Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Muslim, and al-Tirmidhi.)
