Commonly Confused Words Select ONE set of commonly confused words from the list below. Draw a picture or write a silly poem/rap/song to teach someone else the difference between the two words. (This will also be tonight’s homework activity; it will be due tomorrow!) Among-(preposition) referring to a group of three or more. Between-(preposition) refers to two more people or things. Anyway- a transition word (don’t use anyways) Anywhere-(adverb) tells the location of (don’t use anywheres) Nowhere-(adverb) tells the location of (don’t use nowheres) Somewhere-(adverb) tells the location of (don’t use somewheres) Borrow – to receive something on loan Lend- to give out temporarily. Bring- refers to movement toward or with Take- refers to movement away from
