Defining Other Types of Charts PowerPoint has a collection of diagrams (SmartArt Graphics) –Support communicating complex conceptual information that is NOT based on numbers –A number of diagram types are supported Insert a diagram –Click on the Insert SmartArt Graphic icon in the content placeholder –In the Choose a SmartArt Graphic dialog box, choose the diagram type You can also insert and group shapes to create a diagram of your own. But it is less efficiency if it is already available as a diagram

They are usually used to depict the organization of a company, department or project Clicking within a shape will allow you to add text Additional rectangles can be added to the chart by selecting an existing shape and then accessing the Add Shape button in the Create Graphic group on the Design tab of SmartArt Tools
