1 Romans 1: I am obligated both to Greeks and non-Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish. 15That is why I am so eager to preach the gospel also to you who are in Rome. 16I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. 3 LOVE GOD LOVE OTHERS “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, with all your mind and with all strength. …and love your neighbor as yourself.” Mark 12:30,31

4 LOVE GOD LOVE OTHERS MAKE DISCIPLES “GO and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19, 20

5 “If you hold to my teaching, you are truly my disciples.”
What is a Disciple? The term occurs frequently in the N.T. The meaning is one who is a learner. One who is a follower of His teachings. It denotes one who obeys His commands. “If you hold to my teaching, you are truly my disciples.” John 8:31

6 LOVE GOD LOVE OTHERS MAKE DISCIPLES “GO into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.” Mark 16:15,16

9 Who is in need of Salvation?
“There is none righteous, no not one … for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:10, 23 We have a SIN problem!

What can save us from our SIN? “The Gospel … is the power of God unto salvation” Romans 1:16

12 The word Gospel means: “Good News!”
What is this Gospel? The word Gospel means: “Good News!” What is the “Gospel?” Some say it’s the entire Bible Some say it’s the 1st four books of N.T. Some say it’s John 3:16 Some say it’s God’s Plan of Salvation The Bible interprets itself!

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 “I declare to you the gospel … by this gospel you are saved … For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.”

Matthew 26: “This is My blood of the new covenant which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” His blood was poured out for us! Our sins are washed away by His blood! BLOOD

“We were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” Romans 5:10

Who Will Be Saved? “Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from what He suffered, and once made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey Him.” Hebrews 5:8-9

22 Who Will Escape God’s Vengeance & Destruction?
“When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power.” 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9

23 How do we “obey the gospel”?
This does not say believe the gospel. How does one obey His: Death Burial Resurrection The Bible interprets itself!

24 Romans 6:3 Do you not know that as many of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?

25 Romans 6:4 We were buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the death through the glory of the Father, we also may live a new life.

26 Romans 6:5 If we have been united with Him in His death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.

27 Romans 6:6-7 For we know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin-- because anyone who has died has been freed from sin.

28 Obeyed the D-B-R “Thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you wholeheartedly obeyed that form of doctrine which you were delivered. You have been set free from sin and become slaves of righteousness.” Romans 6:17-18 Burial Death Resurrection

29 Galatians 3: You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

30 Romans 8:10-11 If Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

31 Have YOU had your Sins Forgiven?
“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven.” Acts 2:38

32 Have YOU obeyed The Gospel?
