19. 19 We are “united” or “grown together” or become “at one with” (sumphutos) Christ and our old self is crucified with him (Romans 6:5).

20. 20 We are buried with Him, we were spiritually circumcised, we put off the old nature which was offensive to God, and we were raised with Him through our faith in the power of God, were made alive with Christ and forgiven our sins (Colossians 2:11-13). We are no longer offensive to God after baptism.
