15 Identify Objectives After this unit, students will be able to  Know that abacus is an old fashioned calculator  Understand that calculating technology advanced over a long period time  Understand the relationship between calculator and computer  Understand people in different culture do things differently  Locate Shanghai in a map of the world  Locate Shanghai in a map of China by identifying its relevant location to Beijing, Hong Kong, Tibet, and the Pacific Ocean.
