4. How are they used? Minerals are in makeup for many purposes such as: Adding color Thickening the formula Anti caking Glossy finish Thinning Absorb oils Tighten Smoothen

5. Talc Talc is most commonly used in makeup because it is an absorbing mineral, and it also is a skin protectant and a slip agent. Talc is used in reduction powder, foundation, and primer.

6. Mica Mica is used because it helps makeup have a sparkling and shining effect. Mica is mostly used in bronzers, blush and finish powder.

7. Silica Silica is used in makeup because it helps absorb, and it also works as a anticaker which means that it will make it less obvious that you are wearing makeup. Silica is used in bronzers, correctors, and foundation.

8. Magnesium Sulfate Magnesium Sulfate helps make makeup thicker. Some things it is used in is lip balm, skin tint, and high resistance foundation.

9. Zinc Oxide Zinc oxide is used in MAC makeup because it helps thicken the formula, it also adds color. It is commonly used in sunscreen, toners, and foundations.

10. Zinc Chloride Zinc Chloride is used in makeup because helps by tightening and smoothing skin. It is mainly used in foundation, tinted moisturizer, and bronzers.

11. Aim We researched this topic because we wanted to know what each mineral does to benefit you. Girls (and guys) worldwide use these products, and almost no one actually knows what is in them. MAC is one of the most commonly used high end makeup cosmetics brand. We were wondering what was in the products that makes them this way.
