My name is Hanako, I am nine years old. I have one brother called Yoshie 吉 / 義, he is six years old. I also have one sister, her name is Amaya 歩夢, she is eleven years old. My mothers name is Hoshiko 星子, she works in a sushi bar. My fathers name is Elji 永次, he is a martial arts teacher. HANAKO’S 花子 FAMILY!
HANAKO’S 花子 FAVOURITE FOOD My favourite food is baby cucumber sushi because I am a vegetarian.
HANAKO’S 花子 FAVOURITE CLASS AT SCHOOL My favourite class at school is English. I love learning English because my mothers mother is from England so when I speak to my granny I can talk to her in English.
HANAKO’S 花子 AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES My favourite after school class is Origami. I love being able to make things and get creative with paper
My favourite holiday is Peace Day 平和の日. Dedicated to Sadako, people all over Japan celebrate August 6 as the annual peace day.... We have a little festival and remember all those who died in the atomic bomb. HANAKO’S 花子 FAVOURITE HOLIDAY
HANAKO’S 花子 FAVOURITE CARTOON My favourite cartoon character is Washita no Joe. He is a teenage orphan who is a really good boxer and each show is about a different adventure.
HANAKO’S 花子 FAVOURITE TELEVISION SHOW My favourite television show is Ninja Warrior. I love parkour and my dream is to go on this show one day.
HANAKO’S 花子 ANIMAL I’D LIKE TO HELP The Ryukyu flying fox is a type of fruit bat and I am sad that its habitat is being destroyed as it lives in trees and as more houses are being built their houses are being destroyed to make way for our houses.
HANAKO’S 花子 JAPAN This is the flag of Japan and I am proud to be Japanese. The flag is officially called Nisshōki 日章旗 ?, "sun-mark flag” but is normally called Hinomaru 日の丸 ?, "circle of the sun“. ? The flag is the symbol of a setting sun and in Japan the sun plays an important role in mythology and religion.
HANAKO’S 花子 HOME I live in Tokyo 東京 – this is an awesome city and there is so much to do all the time.
