9. Flo Rida uses the term “Shawty” to describe any female he may be interested in. Also, he raps that the “Shawty” is wearing Apple Bottom jeans. This seems to indicate that the “Shawty” in question is wearing jeans that will accentuate her buttocks, as that brand was created—in some part—to highlight and focus on women who wished to draw attention to their apple-shaped behinds.

10.  West is making an allusion to the O.J. Simpson murder trial. Simpson was accused of killing his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and a friend, Ronald Goldman. A main piece of evidence was the presence of a bloody Isotoners glove, which Simpson defense attorney Johnnie Cochran famously quipped: “If the glove doesn’t fit, you must acquit.” ALLUSIONS—A COMPLETED RESPONSE
