2 WHAT IS HALLOWEEN?

3 THE ORIGIN Halloween has its origins in the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Christian feast of All Saints Day. In large part, is a secular celebration although some believe that has a religious undertone. The word Halloween is a derivation of the phrase All Hallow's Eve. Formerly, the Celts believed that the line between this world with the Underworld opened in the day of Samhain (Halloween), allowing good and evil spirits, to pass through.

4 The day is often associated with orange and black colors and is strongly linked to symbols like the Jack-o'- lantern. Typical activities include the famous Halloween trick or treating to ask for some sweets in the houses, organise horror parties, visiting haunted houses, jokes, reading scary stories and viewing horror films. TRADITIONS AND SYMBOLS

5 Trick or Treat originally was a legend that not only the spirits of the dead were free to roam the earth on Halloween night. Among them was a terribly bad, Jack-o- lantern, wandering through the villages, going from house to house demanding "trick or treat." The legend says that without a pact with the spirit he would use his powers to curse the house and its inhabitants. To protect the idea of creating horrendous forms of pumpkins, so avoid running the spectrum. TRICK OR TREAT
