3 CLA Sports Program (CLASP) CLASP Mission: “Competitive High School & Youth development sports program fueled by COMMUNITY, with the intent to DISCIPLE and endeavoring for EXCELLENCE in Christ.” CLASP is volunteer-led, coached and facilitated Coach schedules & Facility availability are key drivers for practice schedules CLASP is non-CIF and participates in non-CIF leagues in San Diego, Riverside, and Orange Counties, and all the way up to Bakersfield (football only). 5 FEES * Payment Plans Provided* CLA membership required to play CLA sports. CLA membership paperwork and payments are turned into Christina Hale CLA administrator. Must be completed to participate. 2014/2015 CLASP FEE STRUCTURE Family Max = $750 (all members/all sports) Individual HS athlete Max = $500 (one student/multiple sports) *HS is U14/Freshman/JV/Varsity Level* U12 Family Fee = $200 (all U12 students/sports) U10/Below = no costs (if U10 team available) * Fees based on team assignment – based on coach/parent agreement* High School Level: Individual Sports Pricing Football = $400 Volleyball = $250 Basketball = $300 Baseball/Softball = $250

6 CLA Sports Program: Requirements  CLA membership paperwork & payments.  CLASP Paperwork: Located at mycla.org – under Sports/Sports Registration - Sport Registration Form - Informed Consent Agreement - Emergency Info./Medical Release/Transportation Consent - Pre-participation Physical Form (recommended but not required)  Fall or winter sport athletes... Initial Existing, Sign  CLASP payments: - Sports Fee Statements sent monthly. - Payments made via invoice instructions. - All payments made via check with copy of statement included. - Request no cash payments - Statements show full price & credit once max fee reached - If not paid in full, please provide payment plan  Payment plans (on web site) supported. 7 CLA Sports Program: Expectations Parent Expectations: Represent Christ and CLA well. Always demonstrate good sportsmanship/respect to players, opponents, referees and fans Let Coaches coach (knowing that it will be hard at times for your athlete at practices, on the bench) Communicate with Coaches. Raise issues/concerns with Coach one-on-one (call at practices [not before, during, or right after a game]) Help out at practices/games at the request of the coaches Score keeping, stats, fill-in coach, etc. Communicate with CLA Leadership regarding any concerns

8 CLA Sports Program: Expectations Player Expectations: – Represent Christ and CLA well. Always demonstrate good sportsmanship/respect to teammates, opponents, referees and fans – Commit to team, teamwork, being teammate – Be on time, be prepared, be engaged at all times (15 min): attend all practices work hard / do your best, 100% (during practice as well as during competition) be coachable with respectful attitude and responses; put the goals, welfare, and success of the team before your own – Communicate with Coaches; concerns, injuries work to improve individually and as a team each week

9 CLA Volleyball 2015 Season Head Coach: LeAnn Dalton / Wyatt Dalton Practice Schedule: Team practices begin March 23, 2015 M-T-Th 5 – 9 pm Horizon Prep Gym Possible Additional Venues: – San Diego Volleyball Club – YMCA Christian League Volleyball Friday night games, 4-9pm Salvation Army Gym, Balboa Ave. 1 st Game: April 10, 2015 Compete with other homeschool and private Christian teams Possibly combine with Saturday Baseball Games

10 CLA Volleyball 2015 Season Volleyball Fee covers... - practice facilities - league - referees - tournaments CLA provides - Uniforms for all Varsity teams – shorts/jersey * To be returned at end of season Player Provides - shoes, volleyball or athletic with non-marring soles - knee pads - water (bring water to every practice & game)
