4 There are two style points in Edvard Munch’s work that we are working with: 1.The use of wavy blended color to create movement in painting 2. Perspective: using the v- method to create distance. This technique is used in Starry Night, by the Dutch artist, Vincent Van Gogh. Van Gough, My Bedroom

13 Notice the sky carefully. The clouds are horizontal, but the sky is diagonal. I put some perspective lines in to help you see this.

15 Wow! I found an intersection. Then I drew lines out from it and look at what I discovered.

18 What’s with the sink for a mouth? Creative! It sink has a Salvador Dali Melting Clock look to it.

21 This is the last scream before the nuclear holocaust. This is called the mushroom cloud.

22 Now, you know where the creators of the movie (-and the mask), Scream got their inspiration. This is me being creative with Salvador Dali melting watches. Instead of a scream, the mouth looks like a tongue.

31 Notice that the vertical lines are 90 degrees from the bottom of the paper. Note that the corner is created by distance V’s being created on both sides of the corner.
