3 www.rave.ac.uk the challenge to all of us High level skills – the skills associated with HE are essential to the economy and the individual Key competitor countries have a higher proportion of of their adult workforce with high level skills 2 billion people in China and India with 5 million graduates a year – we have to compete with high level skills

4 We cant compete in low level skills Rethinking High Level skills Need to use information technology, including the internet to develop high level skills Higher education needs to own this development because www.rave.ac.uk
