2 Refer to page 5 of your notes The science laboratory can be a dangerous place if you are not careful. There are certain rules that must be followed for your own safety and for the safety of everyone else in the room.

8 Hazard Symbols Some of the chemicals that you use in the laboratory are potentially harmful. Hazard labels are used to label such chemicals to alert you to the type of hazards present. This will be done in the lab.
