Quiz Guess who get’s fingered for any of these issues? ®Copyright Expro 2009 WELL FLOW MANAGEMENT

®Copyright Expro 2009 WELL FLOW MANAGEMENT TM What is Expro looking at? (summary) Burner & Burner Boom systems  Equipment- Booster rings for heavy oil applications  Equipment- Actuating Air Valves (or more compressors)  Equipment- Move deluge back 1/3 (insist on this vs. rig)  Equipment- New Deluge Nozzles  Equipment- Dripping HP Gas Flare – KO vessel  Procedure - Stay within burner specifications (back pressure)  Procedure- Adjust deluge water vs. oil rate Calibration Tank associated  Equipment- LSH Alarm  Equipment- KO Pot with LSHH shut-down  Equipment- “See through” Sight Glasses with back lights  Equipment- Possible use of heated coils inside Cal. Tanks

®Copyright Expro 2009 WELL FLOW MANAGEMENT TM What is Expro looking at? (summary) Slop Tank related  Equipment- More slop tank capacity on jobs PPM chemicals  Chemicals- Antifoam/Defoamer/Wax Inhibitor on all expl. wells Soft issues  Experience transfer  Resources  Culture & Attitude  Authority  Etc.

Booster rings for heavy oil applications ®Copyright Expro 2009 WELL FLOW MANAGEMENT

LP KO Vessel for Cal. Tank gas line (overflow) ®Copyright Expro 2009 WELL FLOW MANAGEMENT Existing – sitting in the yardNew Build – Option 1New Build – Option 2

HP KO Vessel HP Gas Flare line (dripping flare) ®Copyright Expro 2009 WELL FLOW MANAGEMENT 6” inlet & outlet to match rig HP Gas diverter lines. Installation close to the burner booms, just prior to entering on to the booms Must be combined with small pump (level controlled) pumping condensate back to the separator or the Cal. Tank. Most likely a permanent fixture of a rig hook-up, due to NORSOK D- 001 requiring the booms to be swung out during drilling.

What could the clients do to support? (summary) Stop bullying & back-off  People have been pushed to violating equipment operational envelops, and bend procedures etc.  Client rep’s have pushed Expro personnel away to ”have a look” during environmentally critical job phases. Clear chain of command  Consultants in use with unclear levels of authority vs. each other (mixed messages) Cultural & legislative knowledge  People brought in to supervise jobs on very short notice – no knowledge of the culture, work methods, legislation or client work procedures  Dubious qualifications for the job ®Copyright Expro 2009 WELL FLOW MANAGEMENT

What could the clients do to support? (summary) Improve design input data  How much is lost in hole during drilling (drilling reports are notoriously false – use alternativ sources, like mud pit volume consumption) Reasent job – planned for 20 m3 lost to formation, found all 450 m3 Inform about what PPM chemicals have been put into the Discharge Permit  Plan for providing PPM chemicals ®Copyright Expro 2009 WELL FLOW MANAGEMENT
