Couple designs with laser pointers directly installed in putter head Disadvantages: 1) not detachable (can’t use with ANY golf putter) 2) may be difficult to see laser beam due to positioning 3) laser pointer switch on putter (user needs to stop aiming to switch off beam) Design with laser pointer attached to shaft near grip by means of clamp Disadvantages: 1) Bulky and heavy - “destroys the sense of beauty of the golf putter” - affects smoothness of the user’s action 2) complicated to install on golf putter 3) golf putters have various diameters: clamp might cause emitted beam to vibrate or oscillate when in use
Detachable laser pointer mounted on the golf putter to aim the putter head at the hole. Training device for golf playing. Uniqueness: Compact and convenient for carrying by hand Easily installed Projects a clear (easy to see) laser beam onto the ground
40. Laser module: housing of laser diode, circuit board assembly, battery, and power source. 30. Joint: coupling block (31) and pivot portion (33). 50. Power switch: on/off laser diode and circuit board assembly. 20. Mounting base (semicircular positioning groove): smoothly arched coupling device. 45. Battery holder. 43. Laser diode & circuit board assembly 44. Lens.
28. Collimator: aspheric lens. 30. Beam splitter. 33. Planar collimated beams separated at a preselected angle, α, to project a line of dots. Amount of dots indicates relative distance to hole. 22. Light source: laser diode. 23. Heat sink. Full setup Dotted line projector Golf putter. Full setup
