New Feature in 2012 R2
Shape Mesh / Box Mesh Generate the box constituted with shell elements or hexahedron elements. Box by Points: Select several Points to create box boundary, PreSys calculates the largest space in X,Y,Z-Axis.
Box by Region: Create box mesh in defined LCS. Shape Mesh / Box Mesh Define the box parameters in LCS
Generate the Cylinder constituted with shell or hexahedron elements. Three Cylinder types for user to select. Cylinder: Define Vector Normal by Two Nodes/Points or by LCS. Shape Mesh / Cylinder Mesh
Generate the Torus constituted with shell elements or hexahedron elements. Two torus types for user to select: Full Torus Shape Mesh / Torus

Beam Section Library Create Beam Property by Library : This function is visualized and convenient for users to create beam property.
Beam Section Library Users can select different Beam Section Type. The Beam Section library includes: AISC, CISC, EURO, INDI, USER. Define the dimension of the Beam section. The property of the Beam section is calculated according to Section Dimension.

Topology Mesh Automatically average or merge all inner nodes on two boundaries if their first and last nodes have been averaged or merged. BEFORE
Remesh The command will re-mesh the shell using the new mesh size, replacing the existing elements and connecting them to the surrounding mesh. Increased/ decreased the nodes by clicking number using the left or right mouse. Adjust the re-mesh regions Change the nodes on the free edge based on new elements size. New element size

Add Washer Drill Holes option allow user to drill a new hole into the mesh where has no hole. Add washer

Drag Mesh Source element type is 1D/2D Create 2D elements from existing line elements; Create 3D elements from existing 1D/2D/3D elements. The element type of target element
Drag Mesh Solid faces are selected When source element type is solid
Linear Mapping Select source/target elements Automatically or manually select 3 nodes respectively from source/target elements Distribute layers as requested Create solid mesh by mapping the mesh from the source shell to the target shell.

Split Surface Split by Surface Intersection add the new option: Split Both – All the target and splitting surface are split. Split into four surfaces
Sweep Surface by LCS LCS an be used to define the sweep path. Define LCS Set the sweep distance and direction. Set V axis of LCS as the path
Align Node In old version, users are allowed to select only one line to align nodes. After updated, multiple lines are supported.
Project Node More project direction are supported: BY LCS: The direction can be U\V\W axis of LCS; By Vector: Define the direction by 2 nodes/points By Surface Normal: The direction is the Normal of the target surface
Change/Add offset of Beam Element The keyword of beam in Ls-dyna is *ELEMENT_BEAM_OFFSET Keyword Option : wx2, wy2, wz2 Keyword Option: wx1, wy1, wz1 Assign Beam Properties
Input the new Mass The average mass of selected elements This feature can help the users to modify the Mass/SPH Element mass in bulk. Assign Mass and SPH Property

Model Check The 1D, 2D and 3D check functions are reorganized. More criteria are provided for 3D element check.
Connection A new connection toolbar instead of spotweld toolbar. New Feature in this toolbar: The spotweld generation speed are significantly improved.
Connection- create Supports MAT100 spotwelds in solid elements, 4/8/12/16 Hexahedron elements can be created. Support adhesive type of connections
Num of layer Link part ID Connection- connector The connector include weld points and glue area, the operations has: Can be listed and edited by Connected List; Can be retrieved from spotweld.
Enhance Selection Method - by Spread Spread for selection is used in conjunction with selecting. When spread angle is X(X>0),the visible nodes on the faces which normal angle is less then X will be all selected.

Create Group from Set Allows users to create group from part set. Right click Part on model tree select Create Group from Set, PreSys will create Group for each *SET_PART automatically.
Toggle on *INITIAL_VELOCITY, PreSys will display the nodal velocity vectors for translational velocities and rotational velocities now. Rotational velocity is shown
Display about Node Set PreSys only shows the nodes in the set for the displayed elements/nodes/parts currently now.
Default Folder of Save/Save As When Save/Save As and Exporting a model, the default folder will be the folder where the current model file comes from.
Add to Part In new PreSys, most functions will give selection to users to decide which part they want to use. If the using part are invisible, there will be a tip in the message window. Users will no longer complain that they can't find the elements they just created. 3 selection If the part is visible, there is a tick in the box.

Tire The TIRE Module allows the user to : 1.Generate tire models with user-defined characteristics; 2. Setup tire cleat test to checkout its performance; 3.Create a revolute joint between tire and suspension ; 4.Adjust tire camber/toe angle
