Farms became battlefields. Cities, homes, and barns were destroyed. There was not enough food to feed soldiers and the civilians. Here’s a list of possible answers: The north would’ve had to deal with more destruction. The war would not have lasted that long because the North had more advantages (more people, weapons and knew their land) The South would’ve won because they could have blown up the factories and the North wouldn’t have the weapons and supplies.
