8 Clothing Clothing Men wore kilts in the Middle and New Kingdoms, while women wore tight-fitting dresses. Clothes were made from linen. Clothes were designed for comfort in the hot, dry weather. 10 Entertainment Most entertainment was centered around the Nile River. Egyptians would fish, have boat rides, and swim. Fun in the sun! Egyptians also hosted large parties. Acrobats, musicians, singers, and dancers were hired to entertain. Festivals in honor of the gods happened on holidays, where people could have fun and enjoy a feast. 15 Khufu The largest pyramid ever built! Stands at a massive, 745 feet high!! Has a base of over 13 square acres! That’s 568,500 ft, and 7 city blocks in length! It weighs over 13 BILLION POUNDS! Is a marveling sight, and it’s a once in a lifetime to see it!

17 Hieroglyphics Hieroglyphics are a form of ancient Egyptian writing who’s name means “sacred drawings” There are three kinds of hieroglyphics: Alphabetic, representing letter sounds Syllabic, representing letter group sounds Determinative, representing specific objects All of these are simplified to be easier to draw Scientists believe that hieroglyphics used to be a form of pictograms, but eventually led to standing for letter sounds.
