3 Her life - was born in Steventon, Hampshire - was the second daughter and seventh child in a family of eight - life in Hampshire - father's unexpected retirement - education - her career

4 - in 1816, Jane Austen began to feel unwell - she ignored her illness - Addison's disease / Hodgkin's lymphoma / tuberculosis - she died July 18,1817 in Winchester - was buried in Winchester Cathedral, near the centre of the north aisle
