2 What is the project? Foodrinks project co-financed by Lifelong Learning Program – Leonardo da Vinci Partnerships line 2 Foodrinks is a transnational project, co- financed by partners organizations, herein representated, and the European Commission through Lifelong Learning Programme – Leonardo da Vinci Partnerships line. The project aims to Improve the quality of education and employability of students and trainees as technician/technologist in food&drink quality control and safety, improving the standard for acquiring professional qualification through VET programmes.

5 Objectives Foodrinks project co-financed by Lifelong Learning Program – Leonardo da Vinci Partnerships line 5 1- Adapting the standard for professional qualification in the Technician/technologist in food&drink quality control and safety profession to the real needs of employers 2- Developing training modules based on the standard "learning outcomes" oriented and create opportunities to use training paths leading to acquisition of the professional qualification, according to the needs of the labour market 3- Preparing methodological guidelines for developing training modules oriented to "learning outcomes" focused on training institutions for initial and continuing vocational training 4- Enriching and complementing the methodology for the development of professional standards in order to increase transparency of qualifications and achieve better compliance with the real needs of employers 5- Ensuring the flexibility of the training modules to provide opportunities for students/trainees to use different training and qualifications paths

6 Results Foodrinks project co-financed by Lifelong Learning Program – Leonardo da Vinci Partnerships line 6 1.Defining final tools to draft a Training Programme in Food&Drink Quality control and safety 2.Analysis about existing systems for training in Quality control and food safety in partner countries 3.Identification of competencies at European level concerning the training of people associated with operational processes of monitoring, control and management of good practices systems, safety and quality of production. 4. Defining the training modules based on the revised amended standards oriented to learning outcomes 5. Developing two sample modules to acquire the Qualification. 6. Organising a European Seminar to valorise the training modules and to disseminate and reflect about the new competences and skills 7. ICT platform to share training documents, methodological guidelines for VET professionals

7 Impact Foodrinks project co-financed by Lifelong Learning Program – Leonardo da Vinci Partnerships line 7 1.Developing a renovated European Training Programme, which includes the two sample training modules, a Methodological Manual and a complete set of modules 2.To adapt training professional process to the real needs and requests of the labour market 3.Improve international cooperation and mobility among workers and Enterprises 4.Improve the quality of education and employability of students/trainees related to the profession of Technician-technologist in food&drink control quality and safety 5.Contribute and promote the European labour market to comply with workers from all parts in the EU, having a common training base.

8 FooDrinks project: State of the art Foodrinks project co-financed by Lifelong Learning Program – Leonardo da Vinci Partnerships line 8 Starting point about the subject project: Analysis of the situation in each participating country Desing of questionnaire contents to know the point of vue and needs of local agents in participating countries Analysis of questionnaire results in order to focus the partnerhip tasks in two specific ways (lines of study) New modules for technician/technologist in food&drink quality control and safety: definition and contents distribution National debates in order to improve the initial FooDrinks partnership proposal taking into account the stakeholders point of vue and needs Bacau: analysis of the national debate results and incorporation of local suggestions to the final FooDrinks training modules proposal.

9 Conclusions Foodrinks project co-financed by Lifelong Learning Program – Leonardo da Vinci Partnerships line 9 Project of cooperation among professional partners Transnational and multidisciplinary network Starting point to work in different lines of cooperation Contributons to the European Union objectives To much work, low funding Bottom up approach: Opportunity to know diverse professional realities related to our own field of intervention Opportunity to offer the rest of European citizens and institutions ways to change the situation and to improve the actual training options for a very important professional target who have a direct relation with all of us, as consumers for instance
