2  No More Underlining! ◦ ITALICIZE titles of independently published works (books, periodicals, films, etc)  No More URLs! ◦ MLA only requires URLs when the citation information does not lead readers to locate the source easily  Issue and Volume numbers ◦ Required for ALL scholarly journals, both continuous and non-continuously paginated

3  Publication Medium ◦ Every entry receives a medium of publication marker, generally Print or Web ◦ Also possible: Performance, DVD, or TV  Location for Publication Medium Markers ◦ At the end of entries ◦ For Web sources: before the date of access  Library Database for Digitized Material ◦ Include database name before publication medium marker

4  Abbreviations for missing web information ◦ When no publisher name appears on the website, write N.p. for no publisher given. ◦ When sites omit a date of publication, write n.d. for no date. ◦ For online journals that appear only online (no print version) or on databases that do not provide pagination, write n. pag. for no pagination.
