An annual meeting bringing together western region land grant universities:  Academic Program Directors  Administrative Heads Section  Council for Ag Research, Extension, & Teaching (CARET)  Experiment Station Directors  Extension Directors

Establish a western agenda that builds strength and unity on five broad issues important to western states Improve the ability of the land grant university system to address these issues Advocate with one voice for funds to enhance land grant universities’ (LGU’s) capacity to fulfill their roles in research, education, and extension related to western priorities, and to better inform public policy.

Attend/participate in plenary sessions NACo is invited to deliver plenary presentation on their perspective on land-grant priorities Contribute to breakout sessions by priorities Contribute to breakout session by mission (teaching, research, & extension) Contribute to strategy discussions on how to pursue agenda (with Cornerstone) as it is formulated
