4 Founded in 1885 when hot springs were discovered on Sulfur Mountain. Canada’s first national park and the world’s third and core of the largest national park system in the world.

5 Lake Louise With over 5 million visitors per year, Banff National Park is the most visited park. Lake Louise is the most photographed place in the world!

8 Icefields Parkway The Icefields Parkway runs through Jasper and Banff National Park, crossing through several mountain passes, and skirting many glaciers and lakes and is enriched with abundant wildlife.

9 Scenery along the Parkway The Icefields Parkway offers unparalleled beauty as you travel alongside a chain of massive icefields straddling the Continental Divide.

10 The Athabasca Glacier (Columbia Icefields) is in retreat and markers show the glacier's reach in previous years. Take a snow vehicle onto the glacier and take a “walk.”

12 Bow Lake Streaks of snow sloping down to the water's edge form a pattern reflected in Bow Lake, one of the many spectacular lakes along the Icefields Parkway.

13 Wildlife It is not unusual to see mountain goats, deer, moose, wapiti along the roadside!
