NOISE CONTROLS FOR PLANTS AND MILLS

SOURCE PATH RECEIVER

NOISE EXPOSURE CAN BE REDUCED BY:  APPLYING CONTROLS TO THE SOURCE (S)  BLOCKING THE PATH (S)  ENCLOSING THE RECEIVER  LIMITING THE EXPOSURE TIME

RESILIENT SCREEN DECKING

TREATED HOPPERS & CHUTES

RESILIENT CRUSHER LINER AND FEED PLATE

CHUTE LINERS

INSTALLATION OF CHUTE DAMS

VIBRATION ISOLATION MOUNTS

Barrier Concept Shadow Zone Diffracted Propagated Reflected Noise Source Barrier

ACOUSTICAL BLOCK WALLS

STRIP CURTAIN BARRIERS REQUIRE A 30 TO 50 % OVERLAP

TRACK MOUNTED PANELS

THE FOLLOWING DEVICES HELP TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF TIME SPENT IN HIGH NOISE AREAS THEREBY LOWERING NOISE EXPOSURE

CONVEYOR BELTING KEEPS MATERIAL ON THE SCREEN REDUCING CLEAN-UP TIME

SINGLE LUBE POINTS HELP REDUCE EXPOSURE TIME

REMOTE CCTV MONITORING

BEARING SENSORS

BIN LEVEL INDICATOR

MOST OF THESE DEVICES CAN BE MONITORED INSIDE AN OPERATOR’S CONTROL BOOTH

OPERATOR BOOTHS MUST PROVIDE ADEQUATE VISIBILITY

Maintain Your Noise Controls  Screen decking and chutes should be inspected and replaced or repaired during down time if possible  Barriers around mills and crushing equipment should be kept closed  Windows and doors of control booths should be tightly sealed  Remote sensors should be operational
