8 Description of Project Begins at Km near Lang Co Town (Thua Thien–Hue Province) Ends at Km just north of Danang City Runs across the Haivan Pass peak at with an elevation of 475m, with a distance of km Haivan Pass section is a very low standard highway. In spite of many efforts of Vietnamese government on upgrading this section, it is still a dangerous highway to drive and many lives lost each year in accidents on this section  The Haivan pass section of the National Highway No. 1
