2 About the 2015 Competition For the second consecutive year, EPA’s ENERGY STAR program is hosting the Battle of the Buildings: Team Challenge This year, buildings can compete individually and as part of teams in the Team Challenge! Buildings and teams compete to see who can reduce their energy and water waste the most. * Available for Federal and non-Federal buildings and teams 2 Available EPA Recognition for energy and water savings Criteria Overall Top Team*Percentage-based reduction in energy or water use from 2014 to 2015 Overall Top Building* Top Building by Category 20% Team Reduction*20% or more reduction in energy or water use from 2014 to 2015 20% Building Reduction*

3 About the 2015 Competition Registration period is open from January 1, 2015 to May 31, 2015 Buildings and teams compete to reduce 2015 energy and water use compared to a 2014 baseline Building and team progress tracked at www.energystar.gov/BattleoftheBuildings www.energystar.gov/BattleoftheBuildings EPA announces public launch of competition on July 14 th, 2015 Winner will be announced in April 2016 3

6 How Can You Help? 6 Turn off lights when daylight is sufficient. Activate power management settings and turn off your computer and monitor when not in use. Unplug electronics such as cell phones and laptops once they are charged. Keep air vents clear of paper, files, and office supplies. Report water leaks in restrooms or irrigation systems throughout the facility.
