2. Who is she???  Anastasia was the princess of Russia in 1901 till 1918.  She was born on June 18 th 1901  Her Father was Nicholas II  Her Mother was Alexandra Fyodorovna

3. What happened to Anastasia?? Unfortunately they got attacked by gunmen and all the family was killed but some people think she is alive and she escaped the attack. The attack was in the Palace of Russia. It was on the July 17 th 1918

4. The Revolution At the time of the attack of the Russian palace there was a Russian Revolution going on. The Provisional Government had the Russian family under house arrest in the Alexander Palace. During the arrest the family and many servants were took down to the basement and executed. Many people believe that Anastasia wasn’t one of them.

5. Evidence she did survive 1 People believe that Anastasia was wearing jewels under her corset. They believed that when the gunmen shot her the jewels protected her like armour and then she pretended to be dead but she wasn’t actually and then she escaped from the palace. Alive with minor injuries

6. Evidence she did survive 2 Anna Anderson claimed to be Anastasia and when she died her gravestone was marked Anastasia Nikolaeva of Russia. Before she died she was in a mental hospital. That is where she claimed to be Anastasia.

7. Evidence she didn’t survive  We have evidence she didn’t survive because they found her DNA on a guillotine.  They found the bones of Anastasia and her family as show in this picture.

8. Anna Anderson Anna Anderson was a women who claimed that she was Anastasia but she actually wasn’t. They done a DNA test and she was actually Franziska Schanzkowska. She was put to a mental hospital and that is where she said she was Anastasia. Many people believed her but as many didn’t and still don’t.

10. Our opinion We think that Anastasia did survive because the DNA could have been one of her close relations and the bones could have been her sisters. We also think Anna Anderson that claimed to be her was her because she turned up in hospital after the attack and claimed that she was Anastasia and she looks very like her.
