4 Indefinite articles can be used with singular countable nouns when we talk about general things (E.g.)a)An Aeroplane is faster than a Train.(which aero plane) (aeroplanes in general.) b)A crocodile is a very dangerous animal. which crocodile. We don’t mean a crocodile in specific (We mean crocodiles is general) c)A nurse works in a Hospital.(Which nurse)nurses in general. NOTE:TEACH THE KID THE MEANING OF INDEFINITE ARTICLE.

5 The indefinite article A/An is often used after the verbs ”to be” and ”to have”. (E.g.) Mr.Jones is a Doctor. Mr.Jones was a Doctor. Jermy has got a new sports car. We’v got a pet dog. NOTE:TEACH THE KID THE MEANING OF INDEFINITE ARTICLE WITH EXAMPLES.

6 We do not use a/an with plural nouns/un countable We can use the word some instead (E.g.) a)Would you like some sugar. b)I would like some sweets. c)I don’t like Oranges. Use 'a' with nouns starting with a consonant (letters that are not vowels), 'an' with nouns starting with a vowel (a,e,i,o,u) NOTE:TEACH THE KID THE MEANING OF INDEFINITE ARTICLE WITH EXAMPLES.
