Who God Is Series: God Is In Control Barefoot Christian Church 2.20.11
God loves me. He is in control. So I have nothing to fear.
Philippians 3:20-21 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. Jeremiah 32:27 “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? Genesis 17:1 When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me and be blameless.
John 16:33 (Jesus speaking) “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Don’t blame God for the fallen condition of our world.
Two Realities: Luke 12:4-7 (Jesus speaking) “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more. But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear him who, after the killing of the body, has power to throw you into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him. Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Lamentations 3:17-26 (p. 454 in red Bible) Rich man & Lazarus - Luke 16:19-31 Treasures in heaven, not on earth - Matthew 6:19-21 To live is Christ, to die is gain - Philippians 1:21 John 16:33 (Jesus speaking) “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
God loves me. He is in control. So I have nothing to fear. Deuteronomy 31:8 The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.
