1 The following ten retirees were present at the Staff Personnel Recognition and Retirement Award Program on Thursday, April 10, 2014. This year’s staff retirees represent 725 combined years of service to Ball State University. 2014 Staff Personnel Retirees

2 Patricia A. Fife 31Years of Service Payroll and Employee Benefits Pat began her career at Ball State as a data entry operator in Computing Services in 1982. Pat worked in Payroll and Employee Benefits from 1986 until her retirement on July 1, 2013.

3 Susan E. Henry 33Years of Service University Development Susan worked in various departments at Ball State since 1980 including; the Office of Registration and Academic Progress, the School of Extended Education, and Academic Systems prior to joining the team at University Development in 2002. Susan retired on March 20, 2014.

4 Judy A. Ingle 44Years of Service Athletic Business Services Judy worked 22 of her 44 years at the university as a secretary to the director in Athletic Business Services. Prior to that she worked in the Departments of Public Safety and Elementary Education. Judy retired on July 1, 2013.

5 Janet R. Johns 16Years of Service University Marketing and Communications Janet came to Ball State in 1975 and worked in numerous departments across campus as a temporary employee before joining the team at University Communications and Marketing. Janet retired on July 1, 2013.

6 Brenda S. Kearns 22Years of Service Facilities Planning and Management Brenda’s career at Ball State began in 1991. She has since then worked in the transportation area at Facilities Planning and Management. Brenda retired on July 1, 2013.

7 Nola A. Nichols 21Years of Service Rinker Center for International Programs Nola worked 19 of her 21 years at the Rinker Center for International Programs. Prior to that, she worked in the Office of Admissions. Nola retired on July 1, 2013.

8 Clark E. Tudor 36Years of Service Printing Services Clark worked in Printing Services throughout his 36-year career at Ball State University. He retired on May 1, 2013.

9 Connie S. Tyner 44Years of Service Connie’s career at Ball State began in 1969 as secretary in the Department of Natural Resources where she remained until her retirement on July 1, 2013. Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management

10 Marilyn A. Waldo 21Years of Service Marilyn came to Ball State and the Department of Biology on a part-time basis in 1990. Two years later, she began full-time employment as the office and financial assistant. Marilyn retired on September 1, 2013. Department of Biology

11 Michael H. West 19Years of Service Information Technology Services Michael’s career at Ball State began in 1994 as a computer operator in what was then known as Computing Services where he continued to work until his retirement on March 1, 2013. Michael’s son, Philip photographed with President Gora, accepted the award for his father.
