1. A Tribute to the founder of our group organizations, on the occasion of his 50th Death Anniversary Year

2. 16 th January, 1890 – 2 nd October, 1953

3. On the 16th of January 1890, in a small village named Sihor in Saurashtra, Shri Nandlal Mulji Bhuta was born. At the tender age of 13, he lost his parents and took over the reins of his family. He supported the education of his siblings by forsaking his own education.

4. However, his entrepreneurial spirit was irrepressible and at the age of 22, with just 600 rupees and no references, he left for Hamburg, Germany. In the year 1917 in Germany, with his experience and understanding of business in the west, he established M/s M. Bhuta & Co.

5. His love and affection for India saw his return to our shores in 1932, and managed M. Bhuta & Co. from Bombay. Year on Year the company progressed phenomenally and became one of the leading exporters of Oil Seeds, Oil Cakes, Vegetable Oils and Extractions, exporting to Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and several countries in Far East Asia.

6. Today, many working for him have their own successful and flourishing businesses, and attribute their success, to the values and principles imparted by him. Many have also served M. Bhuta & Co. for over 50 years.

7. Shri Nandlal Mulji Bhuta, fondly known as Nandlalbhai, by his friends, colleagues and associates, has touched the lives of many and continues to do so through his noble deeds. He always cared for his staff as his family members and commanded respect and affection of a father and mentor from them.

8. He led a very simple life in spite of residing in Europe for several years and had many westerners and foreign Ambassadors as his close friends. A principled and disciplined teetotaler, Nandlalbhai was also extremely religious, dressed in Indian attire and practiced vegetarianism.

9. In spite of such a successful career, his duties towards his native place and humanity, was never forgotten, and he founded a Charitable Dispensary in Sihor, then a very small village, in the loving memory of his mother.

10. Today, in his fond memory, our group organizations continue to follow the values and principles of Nandlalbhai, by providing healthcare, educational facilities and job opportunities for a better tomorrow.
