4 l’Alliance des Crus Bourgeois du Médoc - CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENT Page 4 Deep historical roots ”Crus Bourgeois” is a traditional term that dates back to the Middle Ages. Some key dates: 1824: Mr. Franck's treatise identifies about 300 Crus Bourgeois in the Médoc. 1932: Bordeaux's wine merchants with the Chamber of Commerce officially recognize 444 Crus Bourgeois. 1962: a union of the Crus Bourgeois is formed. 4 founder members. Among them the father of Olivier Cuvelier and the uncle of François Nony (Currently both vice-presidents of the Crus Bourgeois). 2003: a ministerial decree approves the first official classification of the Crus Bourgeois du Médoc (247 châteaux). 2009: approval by the French public authorities of a new quality selection procedure

5 l’Alliance des Crus Bourgeois du Médoc - CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENT Page 5 The Cru Bourgeois Quality procedure An innovative quality process o Compliance with quality criteria on the basis of approved specifications o An independent body checks the impartiality of the process o Each vintage is tasted blind by professional tasters o The quality of each bottle is authenticated o Each CB bottle is identified by a sticker with a unique & random number => A guarantee of quality for the consumers & buyers

6 l’Alliance des Crus Bourgeois du Médoc - CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENT Page 6 The Cru Bourgeois Quality procedure It is based on a schedule of requirements and complemented by a Verification Procedure. 2 steps : An audit of each estate realised by the independant body An annual blind tasting by professional tasters => The "Cru Bourgeois" procedure approves the quality of a given volume of wine and provides a guarantee of this quality for the consumer. Main Principles The "Cru Bourgeois" quality procedure takes place two years after the harvest: the 2008 vintage was assessed in 2010, 2009 in 2011, 2010 in 2012, 2011 in 2013 and 2012 in 2014
