STIGMA …. refers to negative attitudes (prejudice) and negative behaviour (discrimination) toward people with mental health and/or substance use problems.
What can U do?
There is a significant relationship between student mental health & achievement If we are serious about narrowing the gap, we need to understand that students with mental health issues perform less well in school, and frequently disengage over time
Along with families and community agencies, schools play an important role in promoting the psychological well-being of children and reducing the stigma associated with mental health disorders
