4 - Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and runs through to Good Friday. - It is a time for fasting. - It remembers the forty days that Jesus was tempted in the desert. - Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of the Christian self-denial and penitence which ends with forgiveness on Easter Sunday.

5 - The week before Easter is called Holy Week and begins with Palm Sunday. - Godchildren give to their godparents blessed olive tree bouquets which symbolize life.

6 - On thursday it is celebrated Jesus Last Supper, which was the last meal Jesus shared with his Twelve Apostles / disciples before his death.

7 - The Easter Weekend begins with Good Friday - the most solemn day of the Christian Calendar. - Christians remember the crucifixion of Jesus. - People meet in the church to meditate on Christ’s Crucifixion. - People don’t eat meat on this day.
