The Chinese WPAN Working Group WEB SITE : Chinese WPAN Std WG would open and cooperate with Global STD groups on info, testing procedure, tech development and std documents. Including: –Low-Rate WPAN Project Group The purpose of Chinese LR-WPAN Std is to provide the tech and testing specs for the wireless transceiver chips, involved in above application markets at the given frequency bands. –High-Rate WPAN Studying Group

The Permitted Operation Frequency Bands of LR-WPAN in Chinese Markets Radio Management of P.R.China (Superviseded by Ministry of Info Industry) approves the following frequency bands and TX power limitation for the operation of WPAN equipment – MHz, Pt <=10mw (e.i.r.p) – MHz, MHz BW<=400KHz, Pt <=10mw (e.i.r.p) Radio Management of P.R.China does not object the ISM frequency band for the operation of WPAN equipment – MHz, Pt <=10mw (e.i.r.p)

The Promoted Communication Tech in LR-WPAN(1) The MPSK tech is adopted as the basic modulation of communication in LR-WPAN at less 1Ghz bands. The Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) tech is applied –16 orthogonal spreading sequences are designed to map 4 information bits. The base sequence is a 16 length chirp sequence and the other 15 sequences are its cyclic shifts.

Promoted MAC Technologies in LR-WPAN The spec of MAC layer promoted by Chinese LR-WPAN standard is compatible to the spec of MAC layer of IEEE b Some major modification are added, such as – Modifying the CSMA/CA operation – Extending the SuperFrame structures The Advantages of the desired MAC layer in Chinese WPAN standard –Enlarge the transmission efficient of Wireless Personal Networks –Support the voice transmission in the Wireless Personal Networks

Security The security procedure of Chinese LR-WPAN may be setup in Q3 or Q4 of –The possible solutions may be: One kind of security procedure created by Chinese security expertise, is accepted as one solution of Chinese LR-WPAN. The security procedure used in IEEE b is also accepted as one option solution of Chinese LR-WPAN.

Compatible to IEEE b Chinese WPAN Working Group expects the Chinese LR-WPAN standard be compatible to IEEE b at the following points. 12 July 2006 doc:IEEE wng0 Slide 12 Submission Liang Li, Vinno Technologies Inc.. Cooperation with IEEE Working Group Chinese WPAN working group expects to cooperate with IEEE working group. It benefits to globe LR-WPAN markets Chinese WPAN group gives the permission to its members to submit the proposal to introduce the Chinese WPAN to IEEE conference. Chinese WPAN group understands its LR-WPAN standard is compatible to IEEE b on important area. Chinese WPAN group does not object its LR-WPAN Standard is adopted by IEEE working group.
