The service comprises a review and enhancement to an existing ICT strategy to ensure that: ■The mission and metrics of the ICT organisation are aligned with the need to assess, prioritise and effectively exploit cloud capabilities. ■The appropriate governance is in place to support structured decision making around Cloud services and opportunities. Price ■Gartner will charge a firm fixed price of £60,249 excl. VAT, incl. all expenses for this service. Key Deliverables ■An updated ICT Value Proposition — This will give clear guidance and prioritisation of IT investments and will provide the basis for determining overall success of the ICT organisation and is designed to be suitable for presentation to a senior stakeholder forum and for discussions to secure informed consent. This document will be foundational in selecting and evaluating the ICT investment portfolio. ■An updated IT “Strategic Context” — This will describe the role and success criteria for the ICT organisation ensuring that the advantages of Cloud opportunities get appropriate recognition with the department’s prioritisation approaches as well as being the basis for benefits realisation and tracking. ■A report on ICT Organisation and Governance — Together with the incorporated recommendations for change initiatives, this report will ensure that the organisation recognises the decisions it needs to make (and where) on its Cloud investments while presenting a high level case for action and a rationale for change to the current allocation of decision rights. Key Benefits ■Removal of any barriers to adopting Cloud approaches that may arise from unclear, misleading or out of date strategic directions (for example, dogma regarding costs, control, security, and such like). ■A clear view of what changes to make to ensure the organisation is better able to recognise, evaluate, decide and execute on Cloud initiatives. Assumptions ■Information about the organisation is taken from up to 200 pages of existing background material, plus up to 20 structured interviews over four calendar days. Without a vehicle to secure informed consent to an updated ICT Value Proposition there is a danger that Cloud opportunities are missed, or pursued for inappropriate reasons. ■A clear view of what changes to make to ensure the organisation is better able to recognise, evaluate, decide and execute on Cloud initiatives (and the rationale for making such changes).
