1 Year 6 Maths at RCC On entry all pupils take a test to assist with setting. All pupils placed in appropriate set All pupils follow the National Curriculum at a level appropriate to their ability. All pupils are prepared for the SATS in May, which also prepares them for Maths they need in the future. All pupils are given a target level in October, based on entry test, CATs scores, Fischer Family Trust and Year 5 data.

2 Key Stage 2 Maths SATS Mental arithmetic - 20% Paper A – non calculator - 40% Paper B – calculator - 40%

3 Preparation at School CD/Mental tests Entrance test – full SATs paper Look at past papers Mock SATs – February Pick up difficult areas, for example: word problems and written explanation answers Booster classes

4 Revision at home  Workbooks  Study guides – loaned to classes for a week at a time  Useful websites: My Maths and Revisewise www.mymaths.co.uk mymaths revisewise
