In which direction did we head? Co-Production (our aspiration). Focus on: Training. Recruitment of trainers.

First steps EBEs and EBOs trained in KUF. Working Together – learning through doing..

What have we learnt? (as we have stumbled & climbed) There is no ‘How to Guide’. Working together beneficial. Recovery a complex concept.

“Involved Recovery” We think involvement (& co-production in particular) supports recovery by facilitating: Hope Opportunity Agency Self esteem Acceptance and support Social interaction Understanding

“Involved Recovery” Involvement Hope, Opportunity, Agency, etc. (& Mentalizing?) Recovery

Mentalizing Mentalization is: Implicitly & explicitly interpreting the actions of oneself & other as meaningful on the basis of intentional mental states (e.g. desires, needs, feelings, beliefs, & reasons). Keeping mind in mind. Understanding misunderstanding. Understanding ourselves from the outside and others from the inside.

Mentalizing: promoting recovery? Involvement may promote mentalizing and recovery amongst EBEs by offering: Self & other perspectives. A mentalizing team. A different relationship with EBOs. Also promotes mentalizing amongst EBOs.

Achievements (great strides) 500+ staff trained. Awards 2011. Changing the culture. Shifting the balance of power.
