Welcome to OUTGOING

Psalm 45 A wedding song. 1 My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the king; my tongue is the pen of a skilful writer. 2 You are the most excellent of men and your lips have been anointed with grace, since God has blessed you for ever.

3 Gird your sword upon your side, O mighty one; clothe yourself with splendour and majesty. 4 In your majesty ride forth victoriously on behalf of truth, humility and righteousness; let your right hand display awesome deeds.

5 Let your sharp arrows pierce the hearts of the king's enemies; let the nations fall beneath your feet. 6 Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever; a sceptre of justice will be the sceptre of your kingdom.

7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.

8 All your robes are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia; from palaces adorned with ivory the music of the strings makes you glad. 9 Daughters of kings are among your honoured women; at your right hand is the royal bride in gold of Ophir.

My heart is full of admiration for You my Lord, my God and King. Your excellence, my inspiration, Your words of grace have made my spirit sing.

All the glory, honour and power belong to You, belong to You. Jesus, Saviour, Anointed One I worship You, I worship You.

You love what’s right and hate all evil, therefore Your God sets You on high, And on Your head pours oil of gladness, While fragrance fills Your royal palaces.

All the glory, honour and power belong to You, belong to You. Jesus, Saviour, Anointed One I worship You, I worship You.

Your throne, O God, will last for ever Justice will be Your royal decree. In majesty ride out victorious, For righteousness, truth and humility.

All the glory, honour and power belong to You, belong to You. Jesus, Saviour, Anointed One I worship You, I worship You.

What’s all this nonsense about Trinity? Isn’t it easier to stick with one God?

The Outgoing God Nicene Creed We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds, Light of Light, very God of very God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father; by whom all things were made;

who for us men, and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, and was made man;

he was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered, and was buried, and the third day he rose again, according to the Scriptures, and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father;

from thence he shall come again, with glory, to judge the quick and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end.

And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life, who proceedeth from the Father, who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified, who spake by the prophets.

Richard Sibbes “God’s goodness is a communicative, spreading goodness.... If God had not a communicative, spreading goodness, he would never have created the world. The Father, Son and Holy Ghost were happy in themselves and enjoyed one another before the world was.

Richard Sibbes But that God delights to communicate and spread his goodness, there had never been a creation nor a redemption. God useth his creatures not for defect of power, that he can do nothing without them, but for the spreading of his goodness.”

The Eternally Outgoing God Son Father Spirit

The Eternally Outgoing God God so loved the world that He gave... His Son and His Spirit Particularly Universally

Why did God make us? And who made God?

You're the Word of God the Father From before the world began. Ev'ry star and ev'ry planet Has been fashioned by Your hand. All creation holds together By the power of Your voice. Let the skies declare Your glory; Let the land and seas rejoice!

You're the Author of creation; You're the Lord of ev'ry man; And Your cry of love rings out across the lands.

Yet You left the gaze of angels, Came to seek and save the lost, And exchanged the joy of heaven For the anguish of a cross. With a prayer You fed the hungry; With a word You calmed the sea; Yet how silently You suffered That the guilty may go free!

You're the Author of creation; You're the Lord of ev'ry man; And Your cry of love rings out across the lands.

With a shout You rose victorious, Wresting vict'ry from the grave, And ascended into heaven, Leading captives in Your way. Now You stand before the Father, Interceding for Your own; From each tribe and tongue and nation, You are leading sinners home!

You're the Author of creation; You're the Lord of ev'ry man; And Your cry of love rings out across the lands.

Recommended Reading: Genesis 1-5 What is the relationship between God  the world  humanity Life and death

NEXT WEEK...Dead God is Life and life-giving, but how do we respond? We naturally close ourselves off from our true Life-source. This is the problem for the world.
