2 Biography Born 1564 in Stardfort-upon-Avon Mother wealthy Went to grammar school Lost Years (1578-1582) Married 1582 Anne Hathaway – three children Moved to London Lost Years (1582-1592) – only four documents Died April 23rd, 1616 in Stardfort-upon-Avon

3 Career At the age of 20 he wrote his first play Often takes part in his own plays as an actor Owner and builder of the famous Globe Theater in London Is known for his linguistic talents in his plays („to hear a play“)
