12 American Chemical Society 12 FORMS: Helping LS be all they can be! The Importance of the annual report  The LS AR is ACS constitutionally mandated. It is your section’s way to communicate a summary of event, administration and financial activities.  The LS AR are reviewed by members of LSAC. It is an important way that ACS identifies the impact of LS programs, identifies LS in need of help as well as LS with great programming. What keeping your EVENTS in FORMS up to date can do for your section  FORMS allows you to collect information about events/activities – and get input from the people doing the event – in real time. Waiting 6-12 months can make it hard to get accurate or complete information after the fact  FORMS allows sections to build up a repository of local section events/activities which can be used by future LS officers  Beginning the following year – FORMS allows you to use the event information to nominate activities for ChemLuminary Awards
