General Info Ethnic groups- Malaysian 50.4%, Indigenous 11%, Chinese 23.7%, Indian 7.1%, others 7.8% Population- 28,728,607 Languages- English, Chinese, Thai, Tamil, Telugu, Panjabi, Manderin, and the official language is Bahasa Malaysia Religions- Muslim(official) 60.4%, Buddhist 19.2%, Christian 9.1%, Hindu 6.3%, Chinese religions 2.6%

Sharia They have the sharia also known as syariah law, that mainly only applies to muslims, and plays small role throughout whole legal system Complications with this law have mainy been freedom of religion Syriah courts have authority in marriage, inheritance and apostasy the more personal law matters
