This is the day of St Patrick’s death.  People celebrate St Patrick's Day in Ireland, Australia, Canada, Britain, the United States, New Zealand and Argentina.  St Patricks Day is a public holiday in Ireland.

4. What do people do on St Patrick's day? In Ireland people go to church services and wear green clothes. There are public parades and processions, and the lifting of Lenten promises on eating and drinking alcohol.

5. Clothes and Food Many people wear green clothing on this day. They have parties featuring Irish foods and drinks that are dyed green with green food colouring. Adults go to pubs and drink Guinness, an Irish beer.
