2 What is PACT? A collaboration between 7 schools Sharing expertise Efficiency In 2009 – one shared course In 2010 – 19 shared courses In 2011 – 30 shared courses In 2012 – 41 courses offered

4 “Don’t sweat the small stuff” Take a leap of faith.

5 Where did we start? 1 Course – Maths Specialist 3 AB run at Murdoch University. Align the school period structures. Cooperate for the good of all of the students across the schools without letting egos interfere. Identify courses that have small numbers that schools could not afford to run individually. Identify the best teachers to teach each course whilst not reducing the capacity of schools to cover the curriculum. Rotate courses to maintain expertise in each school.

6 The Period Structure 5 Periods per day. Each period 64 Minutes 20 periods = 1,280 minutes (full time teaching load) 5 periods = 320 minutes (DOTT) 25 periods = 1600 minutes (middle school teaching requirement)

17 There are currently 490 Year 11 and 12 students involved in PACT courses across 7 schools.
