7 Two complementary strategies to achieve open access: 1. Publish in an Open Access journal 2. Publish in a conventional journal and deposit a copy of the published paper in an open access archive. How? -pay for dissemination, not access Open Access

8 Open Access journals -author-pays, subsidized, advertisements, society membership fees -or, some combination or variation of above. How? Open Access
