3 Eligible categories of expenditure Staff costs Costs of Personnel executing tasks corresponding to the specific activities and deliverables of the project proposal. 5 Eligible categories of expenditure Travel and Accommodation This budget category includes all the expenses of the project’s beneficiary for the travel and accommodation costs of the personnel involved in the project with the condition that they are directly related to the activities of the project. 9 Eligible categories of expenditure Investments / Infrastructure Expenditure for Investments and Infrastructure with the condition that the cross-border impact of the investment is demonstrated and the activity is approved in the application form. The contractors of investments should be selected according to the rules of the national Public Procurement Law in force. 14 Eligible categories of expenditure ERDF costs shall be eligible for funding if:  They have been incurred and paid out within the time frame in which expenditure can take place. 15 Eligible categories of expenditure As a general rule ERDF costs shall be eligible for funding if:  They follow the real cost principle; costs which have been actually incurred and paid by the project beneficiaries and they can be supported by original invoices or other accounting documents of equivalent probative value;  They incurred in the programme area of the European Territorial Cooperation Programme Greece – Bulgaria  They are in line with national and EU rules and legislation  They are in compliance with the principles of efficiency, economy and expediency of all actions.
