2 Aquatic Species Passage SAFETEA-LU bill FYs 2005-2009, Public Law 109-59 under Title I, sec.1119, Federal Lands Highways, part (m) Forest Highways states: Of the amounts made available for public lands highways under section 1101— (3) not to exceed $10,000,000 (HTAP) per fiscal year shall be used by the Secretary of Agriculture to pay the costs of facilitating the passage of aquatic species beneath roads in the National Forest System, including the cost of constructing, maintaining, replacing, or removing culverts and bridges, as appropriate. 4 Aquatic Passage Program CMII projects can be located on any National Forest System road HTAP funds section (m) Forest Highways exclude any roads that are not part of the Forest Highways system. Collaboration key: – Watershed, Fish, Wildlife (WFW) – Hydrology staffs, –Engineering staff, –local authorities with transportation jurisdiction, –Fish and Game agencies CMII projects can be located on any National Forest System road HTAP funds section (m) Forest Highways exclude any roads that are not part of the Forest Highways system.
