4 Heads Patch holes and smooth problem areas Bake at 225 for 10 minutes

5 Heads Gently sand sculpey areas smooth Sand any other rough spots Fit neckplug Remove dust from head

6 Paint Acrylics Delta Ceramcoat, Folkart, Apple Barrell (no Americana) Cheap Washable Easy to mix

7 Brushes Taklon synthetic #6 or #8 for flesh/hair #0 for eyebrows, facial hair, etc… 10/0 spotter for eyes and detail Cheap brushes cause mental health problems Clean after each use Replace often!

8 Getting Started Organize yourself Place for brushes, paints, painted heads, tools

9 Prime? Color heads Slick heads Prime white if needed

10 Painting Flesh first #6 or #8 brush Thin coats, one at a time. Let dry between coats. DO NOT GLOB Use Exacto to pick bits that show up after first coat when dry

11 Painting After 3 coats of Flesh

12 Painting Hair next #6 or #8 brush Dont worry about perfection yet This is one coat, several coats may be needed

13 Painting #0 brush, rough in eyebrows and eye whites Only one coat on the eye whites at this time

14 Painting #10/0 brush add black eyeliner #10/0 brush, clean up hairline with flesh Dont worry if you have to fix your fix

15 Painting #10/0 brush add black eyeliner #10/0 brush, clean up hairline with flesh Dont worry if you have to fix your fix

16 Painting #10/0 brush, Touch up eye whites #10/0 brush, Touch up Flesh around eyeliner and eyebrows Fix your fixes

17 Painting Eyes #10/0 brush, Add first circle if needed. Let Dry

18 Painting Eyes #10/0 brush, Add 2 nd layer, eyecolor Let Dry

19 Painting Eyes #10/0 brush, Add black circle Let Dry

20 Painting Eyes #10/0 brush, Add white glint Let Dry Touch up where needed
